Analyst, Inventory Events
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for the overall inventory productivity for selected merchandise in center court events and on end caps. This position is also responsible for ordering for events, tracking orders, allocating product and collaborating with other departments on event productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Implement the inventory strategy for center court events and end caps while achieving in-stock targets.
- Manage the inventory levels for events through analysis of trends, exceptions, rate of sale, minimum order quantities and presentation quantities.
- Plans and executes article-site replenishment at stores for assigned event products.
- Execute purchase orders to suppliers based on event SKU selection, and work with stores to resolve inventory discrepancies. Serve as the key contact for PO expediting and logistics issues for assigned event SKUs.
- Work with vendors and transportation to track orders through the supply chain.
- Serve as key contact for store operations on event inventory issues.
- Execute event replenishment utilizing SAP, JDA Allocations and E3.
- Initiate and communicate recommendations in respect to inventory and trends on event SKUs, to Inventory Management, Buying Teams, and Supply Chain.
- Provides vendor forecasts/projections for event inventory.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 2 years’ experience in forecasting or replenishment preferably in a retail environment. Experience in supply chain, merchandising, field ops or store planning preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, finance, or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: None.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Excellent office computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.) and prefer experience with SAP applications.
- Detail oriented and aptitude for analysis.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Self-starting team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
