Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing a team that supports Store Operations in the areas of reviewing operations related data, financial reporting, and other project management tasks. This position is also responsible for project implementation and communicating with various levels within the company. This position is also responsible for leading and developing a team to drive best in class sales, margin, and customer service performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Manage Analysts while providing oversight and development plans for each member of the team, with a goal of preparing them to be promoted.
- Use analytical skills to identify root causes for business problems and provide business commentary and implement solutions.
- Responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting 50+ reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Create Reports in PowerBI, which will be shared with Senior Leadership.
- Apply advanced techniques using algorithms, statistics, regression, simulation, and programing language (SQL, Python, etc.) to drive improvements with sales, margin, and customer service through advanced descriptive and diagnostic analytics.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for various projects on behalf of the Store Operations Department, including project creation, development, inter-department liaison, or leadership. Be an active participant in the TSC Data Steward Program by consistently representing Store Operations as the DATA Expert; while readily adopting and ensuring the Master Data Governance Program’s mission, processes and procedures as they mature and evolve.
- Responsible for project implementation as well as communicating with various levels of the company.
- Oversee timely communication with a focus on 24-hour service level agreement (SLA). Driving the team to hit all communication metrics while always looking for ways to improve the way we service our stores.
- Provide follow through on Operations priorities and process development activities.
- Occasional auditing tasks.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years related experience in financial and/or data analysis required. Retail or operations experience a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Must have advanced SQL, VBA, and MS Excel skills.
- Must also be proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Kronos for Retail, Business Objects, Alteryx, and general accounting principles a significant plus.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Deadline driven with demonstrated project management and organization skills.
