Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of Leadership Development solutions for TSC Stores. Working collaboratively with HR Business Partners and business leaders, the position assists TSC Stores across the company in developing the TSC Leadership Pipeline by assessing, identifying, creating, delivering, and evaluating leadership development programs that add to the overall success of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Leadership Development and Delivery. Design, develop and implement Leadership and Career Development programs for all levels of the organization with a focus on executive leadership. Consult with HR Business Partners and business leaders to implement learning solutions designed to meet the needs of all learners. Oversee the design and development of learning solutions and resources that guide Team Members through the appropriate development.
- Evaluation and Gap Analysis. Execute processes for measuring the results and impact of learning programs and solutions; evaluate and implement strategies to improve leadership development delivery quality. Conduct ongoing gap analysis; recommend and develop solutions based on analysis.
- System Administration. Use the company-wide learning management system to support the execution of all learning and, developmental and activities.
- Partner Relationships. Manage relevant vendor, faculty (internal and external), and consultant relationships, including contracting; ensure Tractorization of programs with various faculty/vendors.
- All the duties and responsibilities listed above may support Team Members in any business unit including Distribution Centers, Store Operations, and the Store Support Center.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years’ retail management experience (preferably including multi-unit management) OR 7+ years’ experience in designing, developing, deploying, facilitating, and evaluating leadership development programs preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Retail operations or other customer facing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design required with experience in leading leadership development programs and projects.
- Develop and organize a wide range of training content based on business need
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory, organizational development, project management and problem-solving skills.
- Coordinate multiple activities in an organized and effective manner and to pull resources together to meet deadlines.
- Effectively facilitate live learning events in multiple settings: classroom, conference call, web conference, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively to large groups (up to 500 people) and present to key leadership teams.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training programs.
- Adept interpersonal and consulting skills and the ability to work as a business partner with all leadership levels within the organization.
