Receptionist
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for serving as a receptionist Tractor Supply Company’s (TSC) corporate headquarters including managing a multiline phone system, welcoming visitors, and supplying information regarding the company to the general public, vendors and customers. As a common first contact with the company, this position requires a strong customer orientation and professional demeanor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Receive and transfer incoming calls. Engage callers, as needed, to determine the appropriate party/department to receive the call. Calmly handle complaints and/or angered callers.
- Receive and resolve incoming calls related to general questions about TSC, store locations, contact inquiries, directions, etc.
- Monitor and control building access via the main lobby during hours of operation.
- Greet visitors in a manner that demonstrates TSC's Mission and Values.
- Resolve general questions from visitors.
- Check-in, assign visitor badges, contact the party that visitors are scheduled to meet, and ensure that guests are shown to nearby meeting rooms.
- Receive, sort, and route mail for the Human Resources (HR) department.
- Assists with projects, data entry/management and/or filing as needed.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years of receptionist or customer service/call center experience. Experience with multi-line switchboard software is preferred.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Ability to understand the organizational structure and departmental responsibilities through TSC’s corporate website and intranet.
- Strong communication skills and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
