Team Lead, IT Logistics

Overall Job Summary

This position is based in Calhoun, GA. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the analysis, evaluation, development, testing, and implementation of the logistics software applications. Additional responsibilities include technical leadership, mentoring other team members, and leading projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Supervise and direct work of individuals within the team. 
  • Meet with technical leads, architects, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, ensure the system is implemented as designed and in adherence to the implementation guidelines.   
  • Interface with business users and other IT teams. 
  • Partner with the business analysts to review and refine business requirements into core system capabilities and implement new/improved functionality and solutions. 
  • Participate and makes recommendations on the technical and functional direction of their domain. 
  • Assist developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and validating solutions that meet business requirements. 
  • Work with Enterprise teams to ensure changes are properly documented, communicated, audited, and deployed in compliance with established procedures. 
  • Provide 24x7 rotational technical support to solve business problems and documents resolution. 
     

Required Qualifications

Experience: 8 years of information systems analysis and application development to include 2 years direct supervisory experience managing a technical team. 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered. 
 

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Experience and exposure to distribution operations with detailed understanding of multi-channel fulfillment processes and applications.  
  • Experience in overseeing configuration, development, upgrades, and implementation of software packages required. 
  • Experience with managed series preferred. 
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology. 
  • Comprehensive functional knowledge of enterprise warehouse management systems (Manhattan, SAP, etc.) and other logistics systems.
