Distribution Center Internship

Overall Job Summary

Tractor Supply Company is currently hiring for our 2024 Summer Distribution Center Internship Program! This is an onsite, 10-12-week program beginning in May 2024.

The Tractor Supply Distribution Center (DC) Internship Program cultivates students' professional and personal growth through exposure to day-to-day operations and people management throughout the DC. The purpose of the program is to develop talent by offering an opportunity to learn firsthand about the organization, our culture, and distribution center operations. We seek highly motivated candidates, who value honesty and teamwork and possess strong leadership skills.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Assignment will be working in any of the following areas:
  • Supply Chain
• Assisting with administrative tasks in area of assignment.
• Working with teams on short and/or long-term projects.
   

Required Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or a recent graduate from an accredited university at the time of the internship; preferably a rising Junior or Senior
• Must be able to live in the Frankfort NY area during the program
• Coursework related to supply chain, distribution center operations, logistics, transportation, or general management is preferred
• Previous internship or industry experience is a plus
• Must be computer literate; basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

• Demonstrate strong problem solving, communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Display detail-oriented approach to work
• Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Access, word processing, and spreadsheets
