DC HR Generalist
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the management of Human Resources (HR) activities, programs and policies that directly relate to the local distribution center (DC). These programs and policies include compensation, employee relations/labor relations, recruiting and employment, employee diversification/Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), performance management, training, and employee communications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Manage the DC hourly staffing process to ensure staffing to approved levels, including recruiting, selection, onboarding and orientation team members.
- Ensure the accurate and timely review and maintenance of time keeping and attendance data, in support of the payroll process and local hourly attendance program.
- Assist and/or lead in the implementation of team member relations programs, policies and practices for the DC, to ensure consistent application of company or network-wide objectives.
- Provide counsel to local DC leadership on HR issues, while partnering with the HR Director for DC Operations and/or Employee Relations, in the absence of DC HR management.
- Manage Worker’s Compensation reporting, including recording of work-related injuries and maintaining the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 301 Log and file. Follow-up on worker’s compensation injuries and rehabilitation.
- Assist with the timely implementation of approved performance measurement, training, and development programs to enhance the capabilities and performance of DC team members.
- Implement compensation programs to attract, retain and provide incentive for team members to maximize productivity and achieve desired goals.
- Analyze and interpret employee relations data to identify trends and training opportunities.
- Support team member communication planning, techniques and execution of local and corporate strategies and implementations at the DC level.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years HR experience, preferably in a DC or manufacturing environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to flex working hours in order to support a multi-shift operation.

- Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature extremes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment, possible exposure to hazardous products, dust and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation
