Analyst, Real Estate Reporting
Overall Job Summary
This position will support the ongoing success of Tractor Supply’s reporting applications and support other reporting needs for the Real Estate department which includes Real Estate, Market Strategy, Lease Administration, Construction, and Facilities. The Real Estate Reporting Analyst will provide the insight and analysis needed to determine Strategy and promote execution and productivity throughout the Real Estate Department. In addition, they will also provide support and direction for enhancing the reporting applications to help improve the customer and team member experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Gathering and maintaining data from reporting tools, applications, and other internal or external sources
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns and uncover solutions to business problems
- Identify and develop reporting around key success metrics
- Take initiative to identify areas of improvement and opportunity
- Provide reporting and commentary to field and senior leadership to drive business objectives such as improving forecasting accuracy, new store performance, tracking RE deal pipeline and construction timelines
- Leads efforts to automate Analytics and Reporting as well as efforts to turn data into visualizations with PowerBI dashboarding
- Collaborates with internal and / or external clients to understand business requirements and develops routine and ad-hoc reports and dashboards in line with these requirements
- Identifies and resolves any data quality issues by conducting both routine and ad-hoc data cleaning and testing
- Demonstrates problem solving and applied analytical skills
- Assists in the continued efforts to centralize data as well as the flow of data between Real Estate systems
- Other analytical and process improvement projects as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years of related business, financial, or data analytics experience. Experience with PowerBI and Alteryx software is preferred but not required. Previous retail experience at a corporate or regional level is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Analytics, IT or related field) preferred or equivalent experience. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail to meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communications skills with field operators as well as executives and other leadership
- Critical thinking capabilities and problem-solving skills as it pertains to data, reporting, and analytics
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision in a project management like environment
- Initiative to seek out efficiencies, problems to solve, and opportunities to explore; then drive the results
- Knowledge of databases and query creation
- Required technical proficiencies:
- Alteryx Designer
- PowerBI
- Cognos reporting or other Business Intelligence software (i.e. Business Objects / MicroStrategy / etc.)
- Microsoft Office software especially Excel and Access
