Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for the deployment of code over multiple environments including development, QA, stage and production for assigned Teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Maintain release schedules. Report on the deployment status of items that are part of each release. Ensure release documentation meets compliance requirements.
- Lead deployments through the production change management process. Direct and/or perform production deployments with members of other teams.
- Establish, promote, and execute on processes to promote deliverables to development, QA, stage, and production environments.
- Perform audits on environments to confirm deployments completed successfully and are compliant with TSC established standards.
- Coordinate release activities with other teams (internal and external), partnering with the Change Management group to ensure a smooth and trouble-free roll out of releases.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology. 2 years’ equivalent work experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer systems design or computer science from an accredited college or university. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: Technical Certification in related field is preferred
High Demand IT Specialized skills: Understanding of an Enterprise Scheduling tool such as Cisco Tidal, Oracle Enterprise Scheduler or Tivoli. Basic knowledge of SQL/PLSQL and scripting. Basic knowledge of source code tools (Subversion, GIT, Clearcase, Spectrum). Basic understanding of build automation tools (Ant, Ivy, Maven, Hudson).
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
