Assoc Analyst, IT Merch Systems
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for analyzing and defining Merchandising systems, business processes and user needs. This requires a good understanding of merchandising, forecasting, replenishment, store planning and supply chain solutions such as SAP, Oracle MMS, JDA Merchandise Management System (MMS), JDA E3, JDA Intactix, JDA Demand and Fulfill, SAS Demand Planning, SAS Merchandise and Assortment Planning, or SAS Allocations and Inventory Optimization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Participate in the execution of test cases as part of the Quality Assurance process.
- Define, analyze, and evaluate existing business functions and processes, as well as make recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements.
- Provide orientation to end users for modifications to existing processes and new functionality.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. This includes creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team.
- Perform and/or coordinate configuration changes for applications in the area of responsibility.
- Review system design plans for reasonableness and fit with the business requirements.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 0 - 2 years of experience supporting Merchandising, Forecasting, Replenishment, Store Planning, and Supply Chain Solutions such as SAP(MM, SD, IS-R, WMS), Oracle MMS, JDA MMS, JDA E3, JDA Intactix, JDA Demand and Fulfill, SAS Demand Planning, SAS Merchandise and Assortment Planning, or SAS Allocations and Inventory Optimization. Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Good ability supporting users in SAP system modules such as MM, SD, IS-R, WMS is preferred.
- Good knowledge of merchandising business processes, including forecasting, replenishment, allocations, purchasing, order management, store planning, assortment planning, master data, pricing, and promotions.
- Good understanding of principles of SAP material management system modules such as MM, IM and SD.
- Good understanding the capabilities and limitations of the native SAP technical architecture/solution.
- Good knowledge of I-Docs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good ability to work independently and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction.
- Good communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.
