Final Mile Specialist
Overall Job Summary
This position will be responsible for identifying and implementing solutions to resolve delivery system and operational improvements. They will collaborate with internal and external partners to improve Store Delivery Services, KPIs, and financial outcomes. This role will collaborate and work directly with cross functional partners across Tractor Supply Company and Delivery vendors to provide real-time delivery solutions. They will apply the insights from their interactions to establish the root cause and provide resolution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- ⦁ Manage and resolve Team Member Delivery opportunities received from Stores, Customers, Customer Solutions Center, or Help Desk.
⦁ Provide indirect management and training to Tractor Supply Company Delivery Drivers and Store Leadership teams on all Delivery processes and systems.
⦁ Research and identify the root cause of the system or process breakdowns that contribute to Delivery improvements.
⦁ Develop, test and implement resolutions and process improvements, while leading internal and external partners.
⦁ Define and manage KPIs, Metrics, and operational reporting needed for SSC Teams and the Field Teams to effectively manage all Delivery models.
⦁ Develop performance summaries for Leadership teams to implement for improved outcomes.
⦁ Review and process Final Mile vendor invoices
⦁ Develop and maintain Store operational documents and self-serve tools to enable Store Teams to optimally execute all Store Delivery models.
⦁ Partner with IT and Omnichannel team to integrate Delivery providers on TSC website and new delivery stores.
⦁ Conducts routine business reviews and assesses operational improvement, establishes and maintains solid business relationships with internal partners.
⦁ Partner with Final Mile SSC and Field teams on Delivery promotion ideas, needs or opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years in a multi-channel Retail role, or in an Operational support role for Stores or Customers. Preferred experience with dotcom and store Delivery systems utilized in a multi-channel retail environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- ⦁ Advanced computer skills with advanced ability in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
⦁ Knowledge and understanding of Delivery software platforms (scheduling, dispatch, routing).
⦁ Strong communication (verbal, listening, and written), leadership and interpersonal skills.
⦁ Able to maintain strong business relationships and credibility with all levels within the organization.
⦁ Self-starter that applies critical thinking with the ability to work autonomously to achieve established goals and outcomes.
⦁ Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills.
