Financial Systems Architect
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for the design, development and support of planning applications. Defines system requirements, builds and maintains scalable models based on business user requirements and integrations with other systems. Establishes technical standards and functionality tests. Responsible for specifications, prototypes, migration from Dev/QA to Production and model documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Design and develop enterprise planning system architecture for both financial and merchandising modeling, ensuring alignment between the two and business objectives.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot and resolve system issues to provide high availability and reliability.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical designs that are scalable, easy to administrate and intuitive for end users.
- Build new models and enhancements. Test, validate and migrate from lower environments. Collaborate with business partners to ensure desired outcomes.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Establish technical standards and best practices for model development.
- Maintain model schematics and documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams. Train end users as needed.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years experience working with planning systems or related function, retail background a plus
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Strong communication, analytical and project management skills
- Aptitude for complex problem solving and a high level of attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of business processes and financial statements
- Proficiency in TM1/Planning Analytics preferred
