HR Business Partner, SSC
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting designated departments as a strategic partner at the Store Support Center (SSC). This position provides leadership and partnership to department leaders as well as leading HR strategies and initiatives that positively impact overall business performance and HR metrics. This position partners with the company’s most senior executives as a trusted advisor, providing counsel and feedback, managing conflict and ensuring continuous upgrade of the leaders’ capabilities and the overall work environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Consult with department and senior leadership on the planning and execution of people strategies and programs in support of the company’s mission and values.
- Takes ownership and accountability for key business departments by providing recommendations to guide decision making for organization structure, retention, promotions, compensation, talent development, and other employee related activities.
- Facilitate talent management reviews and initiatives, including performance management, 9-block talent reviews, and other performance management processes.
- Consult with team members and department managers on a wide variety of issues including training needs, performance management, policy interpretations, career development, leadership skills, conflict management, and other issues impacting productivity and/or morale.
- Provide input into the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures and their distribution.
- Act as a change agent and champion to align HR strategy with department priorities to drive business results throughout our stores.
- Conduct thorough and confidential investigations in partnership with the Employee Relations department, managers, etc.
- Advise managers and team members on benefits and compensation-related matters in an effort to retain key talent.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5-7 years of progressive HR experience as a business partner to department managers and senior leadership.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) designation preferred.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with Team Members from all areas of the organization including executives.
- Experience leading and providing appropriate guidance and feedback necessary for the development of direct reports.
- Ability to apply broad range perspective while reaching timely and accurate decisions.
