Join our 12-month rotational training program designed to provide a strong foundation in technology within a retail business. Our Information Technology Rotation Development Program is carefully crafted to offer participants a broad understanding of IT processes and equip them with the skills and attributes necessary to thrive in their IT careers at Tractor Supply Company.

Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to learn about our company's mission, values, history, and unique culture. You will also gain insights into basic retail processes and become familiar with our innovative systems. However, the real highlight of this program lies in the rotational assignments within our four identified technology functions: Information Security, Cloud Engineering, Enterprise PMO, and Application Development. Within these functions, you can expect to assume roles such as software developer, engineer, or analyst across various technology domains. 

What you can expect

As a participant in our Information Technology Rotation Development Program, you will have a range of essential duties and responsibilities that will shape your experience and help you grow within Tractor Supply Company. Here are the key aspects of the program:

1. Complete Rotations: You will have the opportunity to rotate through various areas of Information Technology at our Store Support Center (SSC). These rotations will encompass Information Security, Cloud Engineering, Enterprise PMO, and Application Development. Experiencing different functions will give you a comprehensive understanding of our IT processes.

2. Shadowing: To understand the process flow and our business as a whole, you will have the opportunity to shadow experienced team members. This will give you insights into the day-to-day operations and the interconnections between different IT functions.

3. On-the-Job Activities: You will actively contribute to our business through guided on-the-job rotation activities. These practical assignments will allow you to apply your knowledge and skills, develop valuable experience, and make a tangible impact within your assigned department.

4. Training and Learning: Group and individual training sessions will be provided to enhance your technical skills and soft skills. Topics such as time management, change management, strategic thinking, and personal accountability will be covered. Completing program assessments will demonstrate your learning and growth throughout the program.

5. Application of Skills: You will apply the newly acquired knowledge and skills to complete duties within your assigned department. By doing so, you will gain hands-on experience and contribute to the success of our company.

6. Team Project: Collaborating with internal partners, you will work on a team project that leverages the knowledge gained during your rotations.
