Manager, IT Data Integration

Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for the oversight and development of a Microservices Framework and the delivery of Data Integration processes and capabilities in the organization - including ETL, Application Integration (ESB), EDI and the corresponding support of these processes.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Manage the development and deployment of ETL, Application Integration, Microservices Framework code and contribute to the overall architecture of the Data Integration & Application Development Landscape.
  • Work with teams to design, develop, and implement new interfaces between various Tractor Supply systems.  This also includes maintenance and improvement of existing interfaces or capabilities.
  • Allocate resources and supervise direct reports.
  • Hire, develop, and motivate assigned staff.
  • Review and analyze existing applications and system effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop strategies to improve or leverage systems.
  • Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support or procurement and development efforts.
  • Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for area of responsibility in conjunction with department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
  • Work directly with Enterprise architecture team to develop and manage all data quality and transformation standards.
  • Accountable for microservice tools development and maturation.
     

Qualifications

8+ years of experience required
Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Bachelor's degree is preferred

Platform Knowledge

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Java, Containers, ETCL and/or ESB technologies such as Informatica, TIBCO, Talend, SAP, IBM, WSO2 or equivalent.
  • Technical leadership, mentoring team members, and leading projects.    
  • Superior ability to manage teams.
  • Negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to develop completely new problem-solving approaches and formulate innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrate collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and to work with a distributed team.
     

Working Conditions

  • Normal office working conditions
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends
  • Occasional travel required
