Manager, Process Engineering
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing process standardization and improvement within the distribution network, by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. This position is a subject matter expert for tools, processes, and technologies within the distribution network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Leads savings projects within area of responsibility by taking loss out of the process Guide DCs to focus on areas critical to supply chain success. Provides support and direction, acting as a subject matter expert for the systems, tools, and processes of the distribution network.
- Participates in the design, development training and implementation of new systems and related processes.
- Assist with the tactical deployment of the TSC continuous improvement program methodology. Manages project execution of top losses in the functional area and assists in building the capability of other DC leaders and associates. Partner with a variety of stakeholders across the supply chain network and wider company to drive project(s) execution and success.
- Actively seeks opportunities for improvement in the business through the use of lean methodologies, big data analytics, and financial modeling. Looking for someone that leads through innovative ideas and problem solving coupled with the ability to execute through ambiguity. Leads savings projects within area of responsibility by taking loss out of the process.
- Ensure the transfer of best practices across distribution network through effective communication and documentation.
- Responsible for planning and executing the installation of procedures in designated operational area across all distribution centers. This includes site start up activities and continued training for operations in the expertise area.
- Use analytics and communication with operations leaders to identify appropriate metrics to track against and support the operation with hitting these goals.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years related experience with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Process Improvement.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Demonstrated experience working with analytical tools like Tableau, Power BI, simulation, and Alteryx.
- Process and Value Stream Mapping knowledge required.
- Problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Time management and multi-tasking skills are a necessity.
- Proficient in taking a project from inception to successful completion using project management principles.
- Ability to write and enforce policies and procedures.
- Ability to work overtime and travel up to 40%
Working Conditions
- Duties include frequent alternate standing, walking, bending, stooping, and sitting, throughout the course of the shift
- Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature extremes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment, possible exposure to hazardous products, dust and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation
