Manager, Vendor Operations
Overall Job Summary
The Vendor Operations Manager is responsible for initiating and driving cross functional collaboration to create supply chain efficiencies, promote continuous improvement, and resolve tactical issues, improving vendor performance metrics and positively impacting top-line and bottom-line performance. This position oversees all aspects of the Vendor Compliance program including requirement definition, documentation, communication, chargeback issuance, dispute resolution, vendor performance reporting, and program enhancements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Provide leadership and guidance to vendor operations team on all aspects of the vendor compliance program including requirement definition, documentation, communication, chargeback issuance, dispute resolution, vendor performance reporting.
- Analyze vendor performance reporting, identify trends and opportunities, initiate collaboration, and drive actions to improve vendor performance and reduce overall supply chain cost and lead time. Includes leading site visits at vendor locations, leading meetings, and coaching and training vendor community on TSC requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate cross functionally with merchandising, global sourcing, supply chain, transportation, distribution and the vendor community to resolve vendor issues.
- Initiate ideas and drive improvements to the compliance program.
- Collaborate with internal partners and vendor community to plan and coordinate supply chain activities to support TSC merchandising initiatives.
- Manage communication to vendor partners via vendor requirement updates, memos and vendor summits, and education/training conversations.
- Manage the vendor compliance system and collaborate with 3rd party provider on system enhancements.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of five years within a supply chain function and vendor compliance experience preferably in a retail environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or any related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
Strong and demonstrated analytical, communication and leadership skills.
Proficient with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office products.
Capable of solving complex problems.
Able to maintain credibility, at all levels of management and throughout the organization.
Display a detail-oriented approach to work.
Ability to travel 25-50%.
