Overall Job Summary
This role is responsible for timely collaboration with multiple internal and external functional teams to establish and manage the acquisition and governance activities around mastered data domains and content information from various sources in order to ensure data integrity and consistency across the organization's business unit processes and operational systems for the Enterprise and Multichannel activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Manage the data acquisition from vendor quality/modeling activities, stock keeping units (SKU), product location set-ups, onboarding, and maintenance.
- Recommend new or revised systems, processes, and resources to meet evolving business needs.
- Accountable for the development, maintenance and communication of the Enterprise Data Governance Office/Program for the specified master data domains.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all systems and processes around the Tractor Supply Company (TSC) mastered data governance and domains.
- Assist in developing and driving the activities to support the TSC Data Stewardship Program. Readily adopt and ensure the Enterprise Data Governance Program’s mission, processes and procedures as they mature and evolve.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and functional teams in order to identify and define business, technical and functional requirements around master data needs in current and future projects and initiatives.
- Determine key performance and operating metrics to monitor the health of the business unit. Analyze metrics, reports and other analytical data to ensure optimal performance and productivity of the team.
- Assist in the planning, organization and facilitation of Sr. Leadership strategy and update presentations/meetings.
- Accountable for the creation, management and maintenance of the department’s and Governance Program's Stand Operating Procedures (SOP) and Playbook.
- Recommend new or revised systems, processes, and resources to meet evolving business needs.
- Assure the execution of additional recurring administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of experience managing product Enterprise Data and governance systems/processes. 2-4 years of involvement in enterprise level projects as a business side Product Owner (PO), Business Analyst (BA), Project Analyst (PA), Project Lead (PL), or Project Manager (PMP).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relate field preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Scrum/Agile Product Owner Certification preferred.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, especially Access is required.
- Strong data analysis skills and working knowledge of relational databases is required.
- Multichannel retail knowledge/experience including traditional store front, catalogue and ecommerce.
- Ability to identifying developmental opportunities and create individualized improvement plans.
- Knowledge of Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) code is preferred.
- Business Objects (BO) and Cognos Reporting knowledge.
