Program Manager, Store Events & Community Engagement
Overall Job Summary
The Program Manager of Store Events and Community Engagement is responsible for developing, project managing and implementing chainwide, store and community events that support key business goals and strategic initiatives. They will do this through building integrated activation and promotion plans and developing field communications and resources to achieve the desired outcomes. They will also collaborate with partners including social, content, PR, and outside agencies to leverage events and local sponsorship activations to generate content, earned media and sharing on social media. Some travel to key event activations may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Leads development, planning, and management of integrated chainwide, regional, store-level and community event activation strategy
- Partners with cross-functional teams and agencies to develop integrated marketing plans that drive event and community activation awareness and traffic
- Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to maximize activation and event value through content capture, earned media and social media sharing.
- Manages and shares out event and activation schedule to key stakeholders and cross-functional partners; ensures integration and alignment with national promotional and campaign calendar
- Builds communication plans, execution plans, run of show and other planning documents to lead cross-functional and store teams through the Grand Opening Event planning process
- Creates and manages store events that enhance national, regional, and competitive marketing campaigns
- Develops off-site activation plan and guides its execution at state fairs and other community events
- Manages third-party agencies and brand ambassadors
- Develops and provides self-serve event resources and training materials for Store Managers
- Continually monitors performance metrics and present event recaps to leadership, communicating ROI, key outcomes and recommendations for future optimizations and enhancements
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years marketing experience with retail events and brand activations. Local marketing experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Effective project management skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates an understanding of store and community-level event management principles and how to replicate / scale events.
- Understands traditional and digital marketing channels including TV/CTV, radio, out of home, print and direct mail, social, paid search, email, etc.
- Experience with loyalty programs, personalization, content strategy and agency management.
- Skilled collaboration and building productive cross-functional relationships
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business environments and execute supplemental marketing tactics to achieve planned results.
- Strong written and verbal communicator; able to present recommendations and data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong computer skills – MS Power Point, Word, Excel, Teams, project management tools (Asana), and data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Able to travel up to 2x per quarter
