Program Manager, Store Planning

Overall Job Summary

Location: Brentwood, TN

Hybrid: 3x a week in office.

The Project Manager, Store Planning position is responsible for organizing activities, processes, people, tasks, and deadlines to ensure successful completion of Store Planning and organizational goals and strategies.  This position coordinates efforts across stakeholders and between different projects without managing any one of them.  They lead the overall Store Planning program with strong attention to efficiencies, accountability, implementation, and delegation to ensure the program stays aligned with the strategy.   Must work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and individual contributors to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, and timing for new initiatives.  Manage program for optimal return-on-investment and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.  The position works closely with cross functional stakeholders to conceptualize, investigate, develop and document functional specifications, training plans, and business processes, to ensure the highest possible level of execution.   Analyze, evaluate, mitigate program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Responsible for the daily management of multiple ongoing Store Planning projects with varying tasks, timelines, workstreams, and stakeholders.
• Responsible for allocating resources across multiple projects across multiple Store Planning teams.
• Will have a high-level understanding of all Store Planning process ensuring the ability to identify key requirements needed for all projects across the Store Planning portfolio.
• Responsible for gathering information from various stakeholders to understand the goals of the project in order to effectively plan resources.
• Will organize and manage activities based on the goals of the projects across the Store Planning portfolio.
• Responsible for defining program controls, processes, procedures, reporting, etc., to effectively manage projects to completion.
• Plan the overall Store Planning portfolio critical path and monitor progress to ensure milestones are being met across the various projects.
• Manage, communicate, and mitigate the risks and issues that arise over the course of the project life cycle, as well as take measures to correct them when they occur.
• Communicate cross functionally, keeping all stakeholders informed of project objectives, timelines, risks to deadlines, resource requirements, etc. to ensure continuous alignment.
• Develop and track training plans ensuring fully trained resources are available for multiple projects across multiple timelines.
• Prepare and present progress reports to leadership. 
• Assist team members and managers when needed to accomplish team goals.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with a large variety of internal team members at all levels to fully understand business processes, challenges, and anticipate needs.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 6+ years combined experience in program management, project management, administration, or related experience.  Prefer experience in merchandising, store planning, or space management disciplines. Position requires proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of program or project management applications.  

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, management, or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: None required but prefer PMP, CAPM, or PgMP
