Project Manager, Marketing Strategic Planning
Overall Job Summary
This pivotal role is designed to spearhead cross functional development and tracking of our marketing strategies, ensuring optimal allocation and management of marketing budgets and resources. This position will be responsible for overseeing cross-functional projects and plans, working closely with various departments to achieve cohesive and effective marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, this position demands a strategic thinker with exceptional planning and management skills, capable of guiding our marketing efforts.
Key elements of the role include:
- Keeping track of all cross-functional projects, ensuring timeliness and focus
- Developing and maintaining a workflow process framework across the Marketing team
- A unique blend of interpersonal and organizational skills and communication acumen
- Multitasking while retaining attention to detail, and a strong strategic and organizational sense that can balance overlapping timelines and requirements.
- Overall tracking of the Marketing team’s budget, goals, and new/innovative test initiatives
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Direct the organization and scheduling of projects and coordinate with Marketing Team members to ensure deadlines are met.
- Establish and maintain project management standards, processes, and best practices.
- Partner with Marketing Ops to drive cross-functional process efficiencies and measure progress.
- Partner with Marketing Leadership team to map and track progress against strategic objectives.
- Scope new/innovative marketing projects to determine viability, required resources, business impact and alignment with key strategic business goals.
- Help coordinate strategic planning workstreams, budgeting and prioritization.
- Work with Marketing Leadership Team to present strategies, performance analysis, and key learnings on campaign results across the business.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of emerging media trends and platforms to incorporate into Marketing Learning Sessions
- Coordinate and compile marketing content for key business meetings including weekly Marketing Team Mtgs, Board Meetings, Officer Meetings, Vendor Partner Conference and Annual Sales Mtg
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (creative, national/local marketing, digital, finance, consumer insights, CRM, OMNI, CSC, Corporate Communication/PR) to streamline workflows and ensure teams are kept informed of key Marketing initiatives that impact business goals
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management, planning or marketing roles coordinating cross functional programs across digital, social, experiential and promotions. 2+ years of managerial/supervisory level is highly desired.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, business management or closely related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
- Collaborative, creative, and adaptive work style.
- Excellent reporting and analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to effectively track and report on forecasted work plans and budgets
- Demonstrates foundational knowledge and thorough understanding of the principles of marketing, advertising, loyalty, performance media, digital, PR, media measurement, brand, and agency partnerships.
- Must be skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience and/or familiarity with MS Power BI, Workfront and Asana is highly desired.
