Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process for open positions throughout the Distribution Centers (DCs). Additionally, this position is responsible for consulting and advising hiring managers on the overall hiring process, collaborating on job requisition details, and providing effective candidate assessment and interview techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Identify internal and external candidates for vacant positions, including assessing job postings and employee referrals, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify expectations, clarify processes, develop a recruiting strategy, and provide regular updates.
- Provide training and training materials for hiring managers and partner with DC Human Resources Business Partners on best practices in the industry in the recruiting, interviewing and decision-making process.
- Develop an effective network of key talent from competitors, industry leaders, job fairs and social networking to recruit potential candidates.
- Conduct initial interviews to determine the candidates potential fit for an opening. Present qualified candidates to the hiring manager.
- Represent Tractor Supply Company (TSC) by explaining the company culture, mission, and values, as well as growth opportunities.
- Present job offers, produce offer letters, and forward approval and acceptance letters to candidates. “Sell” candidates on total rewards and compensation package along with the company’s mission and values to convince the candidates to accept a job offer.
- Initiate onboarding activities to facilitate the integration of new team members into the company.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years of recruiting experience. Recent experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS) is preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
- Comfortable speaking with all levels of hiring managers.
- Ability to communicate quickly and succinctly
- Ability to be a business partner in order to have a vision into present and future needs.
- Organizational skills
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of employment law related to non-discriminatory hiring practices and best practices in recruiting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of statistical software.
