Sr Designer, Industrial (6096)

Overall Job Summary

The Sr. Industrial Designer will be a key creative leader, responsible for setting the vision and driving the design direction for Exclusive Brand products across all TSC categories. This role combines strategic foresight, advanced design methodologies, and hands-on execution to guide product innovation that is customer-centric, brand-aligned, and market-relevant. The Sr. Industrial Designer serves as a mentor and thought leader in the industrial design discipline and plays a pivotal role in elevating the language design of TSC’s portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Own and drive the creative direction and visual language across product lines, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand strategy.
• Lead and mentor junior designers in design research, concept development, and presentation techniques.
• Conduct and synthesize design research, competitive benchmarking, and trend forecasting to inform product design strategy.
• Present design vision, rationale, and strategy to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Partner closely with product management, engineering, and sourcing to influence the full product development lifecycle from concept to shelf.
• Advocate for design quality and user experience at every stage of development.
   

Required Qualifications

Experience: 4+ years related experience 

Education: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited University in Science, Engineering and/or Technology.  Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: None
 

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

• Proven track record of delivering innovative and commercially successful product designs.
• Portfolio demonstrating creative problem-solving, sketch ideation, and excellence in form, function, and storytelling.
• Experience leading cross-functional design initiatives and mentoring designers or interns.
