Sr. Analyst, IT Logistics Sys
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for configuring, supporting, and maintaining the logistics systems located at the distribution centers and mixing centers within the organization from both a project and operational perspective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Work directly with Distribution Center Field Support Industrial Engineers to define requirements, design, configure, test and implement Engineered Labor Standards in Manhattan WMS.
- Perform and/or coordinate configuration changes for applications in the area of responsibility.
- Define, analyze, and evaluate existing business functions and processes and make recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements.
- Meet with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and lead prioritization of build items. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow; documents risk and identify mitigation strategies.
- Participate in the execution of test cases as part of the Quality Assurance process.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. This includes creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team.
- Review system design plans for reasonableness and fit with the business requirements.
- Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Provide orientation to end users for modifications to existing processes and new functionality.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5 plus years in supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Labor Management (LM), Engineered Labor Standards (ELS), Slotting Tool, SQL & Cognos Report Development, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Systems, RF Technology, Voice Technology, Retail Fulfillment, eCommerce Fulfillment, Transportation Management System (TMS)
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of business administration, computer science, management information systems, supply chain management or industrial engineering. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
High Demand IT Specialized skills: Software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Advanced ability to implement and support Manhattan WMS, Labor Management, Engineered Labor Standards, Slotting Tool Systems, and Manhattan SCI (Supply Chain Intelligence) Cognos Report Development is preferred.
- Advanced skills with RF and Voice devices.
- Advanced knowledge in supply chain from a distribution center process flow
- Advanced ability to write and execute SQL queries.
- Advanced understanding of the capabilities and limitations of Manhattan WMS functionality.
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced critical thinking skills with the ability to move beyond proven problem-solving approaches to formulate solutions.
