Sr. Analyst - Strategy & Development
Overall Job Summary
The position will own workstreams within cross-functional projects tackling key strategic initiatives. The Senior Analyst, Strategy & Development will help drive the long-term strategy development process, inorganic growth by conducting research to maintain a pipeline of opportunities, perform various analyses against specific opportunities, and lead post-merger integration efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Organic strategic initiative execution: work on cross-functional project teams to manage and execute top-priority strategic initiatives.
- Support long-term strategy development, identify, and prioritize business opportunities/projects.
- Drive specific corporate (Mergers & Acquisitions) and business (partnership) development activities.
- Provide thought leadership and oversee various business intelligence activities.
- Expected to become an expert over time in farm and ranch retail and use this knowledge to inform our efforts.
- Responsible for working with 3rd party consulting organizations and external vendors as required.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 2 - 3 years of related experience. Full-time work experience and/or internships in retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG), consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, and/or corporate development a plus
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Comfort with (and excitement about) highly ambiguous problems, cross-functional teamwork, and regularly shifting priority set.
- Strong analytical skills and financial analysis literacy.
- Ability to foster strong internal relationships with stakeholders across the business to partner on initiatives and provide ongoing advisory support.
- Well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Passion for retail.
- Experience working with and influencing stakeholders well above own tenure / level, as well as Team Members in very different roles (e.g., front-line) a plus.
