Join our 12-month rotational development program designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in retail business operations. As a member of our Supply Chain Development Program, you will gain a broad understanding of the supply chain process and develop the essential skills, knowledge, and attributes needed to thrive in the field.

Throughout the program, you will have the chance to learn about various aspects of our business, including our mission, values, history, and culture. You will also delve into essential topics such as basic retail math and become familiar with our systems. The real highlight of this program is the opportunity for rotational assignments across four identified business units: Distribution Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Merchandise Planning, and Field Support. These assignments will be thoughtfully crafted to align with your goals and development focus areas.

What to expect

As part of our Supply Chain Rotation Development Program, you will be entrusted with various essential duties and responsibilities. These experiences will enable you to gain a comprehensive understanding of our supply chain and prepare you for a successful career within Tractor Supply Company.

Here are the key areas you will be involved in during your program:

1. Complete Rotations: You will have the opportunity to rotate through different areas of our Supply Chain, including Planning (Merchandise Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Field Support), Inventory Management, Transportation, DC Operations, and Store Freight Days. These rotations will provide you with valuable insights into the process flow and the bigger picture.

2. Shadowing: You will shadow experienced team members to better understand their roles, responsibilities, and the overall operations. This will give you firsthand exposure to the day-to-day activities and help you grasp the intricacies of our supply chain processes.

3. On-the-Job Activities: You will contribute to the business by actively participating in guided on-the-job rotation activities. This hands-on experience will allow you to develop practical skills, demonstrate your capabilities, and contribute to the success of the team.

4. Training and Learning: You will engage in both group and individual training sessions, focusing on technical skills and soft skills such as time management, change management, strategic thinking, and personal accountability. Your progress will be assessed to ensure your continued growth and development throughout the program.

5. Application of Skills: You will apply the knowledge and skills gained from your rotations and training sessions to deliver on your duties within your assigned department. This practical application will enhance your learning and strengthen your abilities within the supply chain function.
