Vendor Operations Specialist
Overall Job Summary
The Vendor Operations Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the SSC and Distribution Center partners, communicating important information and quickly driving resolution of problems to ensure the efficient flow of product through the supply chain. This position owns the maintenance of and team member training on all DC issue resolution processes. Finally, the Vendor Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining the schedule in SAP that drives the timing and frequency of DC to store replenishment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Serves as a primary communications liaison between DCs and SSC via standard communication templates. Build strong relationships between Logistics, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management and Merchandising.
- Coordinate resolution of issues relating to load refusals, UPCs, PO or SKU variances, damages, ASNs, shipment errors, buy backs, stop sales etc. via the Troubles process and Logistics PnR mailbox within required SLA
- Maintain and update the DC/Store replenishment schedule in SAP.
- Maintain and update SOPs and training documentation relevant to the resolution of issues on the DC receiving dock
- Administer and complete weekly reporting. Load Feedback Survey, Troubles resolution reporting, etc
- Onboard new suppliers by communicating supply chain requirements
- Facilitate DC training through multiple mediums, ie. Vendor Operations Forum (email) and Monthly Variance Call (Teams call), and train new TSC Supply Chain and Inventory Management team members
- Serve as a backup to Vendor Ops Coordinator to assist with Dispute and Audit resolution within SLA
Required Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years’ experience within a supply chain function or vendor compliance, and in a retail environment preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or any related field preferred. Any combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Strong and demonstrated analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office products.
- Capable of solving complex problems.
- Able to maintain credibility, at all levels of management and throughout the organization.
