eCommerce Product Owner
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction through the production of quality products. Within their designated ecommerce suite, the Product Owner focuses on delivering incremental value by driving product changes and working closely with a team of developers, designers, business partners and cross functional product teams
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
1. Translate business goals, end-user needs, product vision and strategy into product and feature requirements and customer experience definition.
2. Develop and maintain the product backlog that will drive innovation within the organization and provide Tractor Supply customers, cross-functional teams, and business owners with an unparalleled Omni Channel shopping experience.
3. Create, prioritize, and accept user stories, incorporate them into release planning.
4. Communicate direction and product priorities to the development team, other cross-functional teams and third parties.
5. Foster collaboration with team members (Developers, User Experience Designers, Analysts etc.) to drive value and accountability.
6. Create, prioritize, and accept user stories and success criteria.
7. Partner with the pod (Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Team) as they define how the requirements will be met and the customer experience will be developed.
8. Participate in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos and retrospectives.
9. Identify pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements and drive issues to closure.
10. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and market trends within the Omni Channel space and make recommendations to align with business strategic initiatives.
11. Govern the introduction of new products. Review, align, and drive plans with ecommerce goals, business plans and business processes.
12. Assist in defining the product vision & strategy with Product Managers for products that support the omnichannel customer journey and the Life Out Here strategy.
Qualifications
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Experience with modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies.
- Ability to develop product strategies by understanding key business objectives; diagnosing and mapping requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; preparing time and cost estimates; planning full project life cycle.
- Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
