What you can expect
As a Human Resources Intern at Tractor Supply Company, you will be immersed in various HR-related functions, gaining hands-on experience in employee relations, training, recruitment, labor relations, time and attendance management, and payroll processing within our Distribution Centers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the HR team and develop a comprehensive understanding of HR operations in a dynamic retail environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Policy Communication and Compliance:
- Collaborate with team members and management to effectively communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, & gov. regulations.
- Support the adherence to policies concerning wages, hours, & working conditions.

Employee Relations & Data Analysis:
- Assist with conducting exit interviews, analyze data, & provide recommendations for continuous improvement & corrective action to the management team.
- Assist with responding to employee relations issues, including complaints, payroll, & benefits matters.

Training Facilitation:
- Facilitate and/or provide training sessions for Distribution Center team members.

Recruitment Support:
- Assist in recruiting efforts for entry-level hourly & technical positions.
- Review applications & conduct interviews to match applicants' experience with job requirements.

Team Member Relations:
- Maintain working relationships with all Distribution Center team members.
- Adhere to all TSC policies & procedures, monitoring day-to-day policy implementation.

Safety and New Hire Orientation:
- Assist in investigations related to safety issues & violations.
- Assist with new hire orientation sessions & integrate new team members.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic HR team.
- Ability to work independently, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast-paced environment.
