Regional Mgr, Final Mile - Texas

Overall Job Summary

The Regional Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the delivery network within their assigned region. Their primary focus will be on ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality deliveries to customers. The Regional Manager will work closely with Territory Managers, Delivery Specialists, Store Operations, and Direct Sales to optimize performance, address operational challenges, and enhance customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Implement Final Mile delivery strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Territory Supervisors and Delivery Drivers within the assigned region.
  • Partner with SSC Final Mile team to ensure processes evolve to maximize safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze performance metrics related to safety, on-time delivery, order accuracy, delivery efficiency, and customer satisfaction to understand opportunities to improve customer experience, delivery accuracy, reduce cost and enhance overall performance.
  • Leverage logistics technology, such as route optimization software and tracking systems, to enhance real-time visibility and control over the Final Mile operations.
  • Ensure smooth communication across all levels to guarantee successful end-to-end service delivery.
  • Partner with HR for hiring, training, and onboarding within the region.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, industry regulations, and company policies related to delivery operations.
  • Conduct business reviews within the region on operational performance, customer satisfaction, and financial results for leadership.

Required Qualifications

Experience:  5+ years proven experience in managing delivery teams, supply chain, transportation, retail operations or final mile delivery operations.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.  Any combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to operational challenges.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, team members, and leadership.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
